A Handful of Days

July 18, 2016

We are in the fray of a internet Renaissance which should alter the way we educate.  My kids get a little dozy when I “teach” them but when YouTube teachers talk, they listen.

In an attempt to modify to this revolution in education I want to give my upper grade children a syllabus connected to Internet learning.

This is a history course driven by the span of recorded history–about a handful of days.

The first day would look at the OT and Gilgamesh, but I am cheating and jumping to “great Greeks.”

First stop a’s…

Aeschylus

Alexander the Great

Archimedes of Syracuse

The task is simple–Google each of these dudes.  Read up.  Then we talk.

If you aren’t my kid, stay tuned for cheats…
