Metamorphosis, Kafka and us

October 19, 2012

I read a lot of Kafka when I was a teenager. Some of his stories are vivid after all these years.

I found a graphic novel adaption of Metamorphosis by Peter Kuper at the library. The older kids read it and we discussed it today.

I am intrigued and pained by how my view of the story has changed over the years. I see the universal nature of this story. I understood this story 25 years ago. Now I empathize.

In sadness and grief
