Fun Math

I am trying to be more integrated in my thinking about homeschool, my kids and my own needs. I always feel that we are not learning enough even though my own best education was self-taught through books.

I can tell you when math started to feel onerous–in 5th grade when there was an endless stream of worksheets. It became incomprehensible 2nd semester of 9th-12th grade. Math–it seemed joyless and inert.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. There is joy, beauty and life in numbers. I want to keep my kids away from my history. I want them to find the meaning in math.
